Conferences / Workshops

The Department of Statistics hosts relevant conferences and workshops from time to time.

Currently the department is preparing to host the Workshop in Advanced Statistical Modelling.

This one-day workshop will present recent developments of advanced statistical methods in medical statistics and will highlight recent contributions by visiting scholars and current PhD students in biostatistics in the Department of Statistics. View the Program.

It will be held at Macquarie University on Dec 8 2007.

Earlier, the department hosted the Correspondence Analysis in Practice two-day short course. Correspondence analysis has found applications in every area of research that involves the collection and interpretation of large sets of categorical data such as questionnaire data or tables of frequencies and percentages. This short course was presented by Michael Greenacre and gave a comprehensive introduction to the technique as well as recent developments in its application.

The workshop was held at Macquarie University on the 18-19 December 2006.
