Eligibility
Macquarie University students, both citizens/permanent residents and international students, may apply. International students who are not enrolled at Macquarie University in 2007 but who have a letter offering a degree place at Macquarie in first semester 2008 may also apply. Enrolment is also available to students from other universities, except where the Schedule of Summer Course units indicate that students must have previously attempted the unit at Macquarie.
Summer Course units are also available to students from Macquarie University Partner Schools who have completed the 2007 Higher School Certificate with a UAI of at least 70.00.
Please note: Acceptance into and completion of a summer course unit does not guarantee admission to an undergraduate degree at the University.
Further Information and Applications
All applications for enrolment in Summer Courses must be made through the Centre for Open Education. Applications will be taken until 6.30pm on the closing date, Monday 17 December 2007 (late applications with $100 late fee will be taken until 4 January).
There is no application fee, but the full fee for all units undertaken must be paid at the time of application. Applications will not be processed where fees have not been paid.
If you pass your supplementary exam and no longer need summer course enrolment in that unit, please let the Centre know quickly. You will be early withdrawn from the unit and will receive a full refund of your fees (or they can be re-credited to your student fees account if you prefer). If you are in any doubt about passing a supplementary exam, you should apply for your summer unit by 17 December.
