Two academic staff in the Department received teaching awards in 2006:

Ms Sue Crowe was presented with an Outstanding Teaching Award by Macquarie University and Associate Professor Peter Petocz was recognised on the national stage by the Carrick Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.  The award was given for enhancing learning and teaching in the discipline of statistics through scholarly investigations into students’ ideas about statistics and learning and their pedagogical application.
