This page will contain information pertaining to the SIBT offering of the unit.

General administrative notices will be outlined on the Notices page, so it is each student's responsibility to visit this site on a regular basis. 

A copy of the Unit Outline will be distributed during the tutorials in the first week of semester.

The numeracy centre in C5A225 will be open to provide free assistance in STAT170 to SIBT students at the following times:

Weeks 2,3:  Mon-Fri 10-5
Weeks 4-9:  Fridays 1-4pm
Weeks 10-13: Wed/Fri 12.30-2.30

Login Information

• To access Assignments, Weekly Exercises, iLectures and other resources you will need to login to WebCT. The URL is
  http://learn.mq.edu.au/SCRIPT/STAT170S/scripts/serve_home
  • Username: your SIBT id.
  • Password: your portal password.
• To access the online quizzes, you need to login to the GNATs on
  http://statquiz.efs.mq.edu.au
  • Username: your SIBT id.
  • Password:initially your SIBT id. You will need to change it on first login.

Passwords

For both gnats and wasps your username is your SIBT id.

You need to change your password to access Gnats and Wasps separately. We suggest that you make both passwords the same.

If you have forgotten your WebCT password, go to http://www.lib.mq.edu.au/help/passwords.html#idtable.

If you have forgotten your password to access gnats email akarpin@efs.mq.edu.au.

Your password will be reset to the original, ie SIBT id. Include your name and sibt id in your message.

Extra Help

If you are having problems with the material in Stat170 you could:

• seek help from the Statistics Staff in Office Hours
